We are seeking a System amp; IT Administrator that is responsible for managing, troubleshooting and proactively updating hardware and software assets to prevent downtime or zero-day exploits from occurring.
The system administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers.
The System amp; IT Administrator will:
- Provide organisation-wide technical advice, including on the adoption of both hardware and software tools.
- Act as the point of contact to facilitate technical needs of the organisation.
- Perform system analysis of software programs, applications, and web services.
- Determine system efficiency and functionality by liaising with internal departments and end- users.
- Efficiently integrate new systems, programs, and applications with business operations and services.
- Ensure that computer amp; mobile hardware remains compatible with system enhancements and updates.
- Promote system efficiency and security by integrating performance metrics and encryption.
- Implement new advancements in the field of system and enterprise architecture.
- Install and configure software, hardware and networks.
- Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Identify system requirements and install upgrades.
- Maintain, secure and upgrade websites.
- Create a backup and safeguard the data.
- Perform google, slack, etc account setup for new and old employees.
- Full IT onboarding for new employees.
- Track emerging technologies and implement them in the organization.
Requirements
- Successful experience functioning as a System Administrator in a virtual setting.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform(GCP).
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
- You have excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational communication skills.
- You can communicate with technical teams and business stakeholders in a multicultural environment, as well as clearly document software for these audiences.
- You demonstrate people skills; must be able to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities and skill sets, and enjoy constructive conflict.
- You have a strong track record of professionalism and trustworthiness.
- You possess effective communication, relationship building, and teamwork skills.
- You have a strong track record of working with product managers, engineers and developers by directly reporting to them.
- You can take initiative and problem-solve when challenges arise.
- You are comfortable working with senior leadership, reporting on data and outcomes.
- You have a strong ability to keep a team on task.
