JOB SUMMARY
Manage media relationships, cultivate and manage relationship with media representatives and coordinates all key interactions with partners to ensure the achievement of strategic business objectives.

KEY DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and Manage Media Relation activities in DCP Ghana
- Develop and maintain a data base of all the relevant media in Ghana
- Build a strong relationship with the media in Ghana
- Build and maintain strong relationship with all relevant regulatory and supervisory agencies in Ghana
- Provide guidance and collect feedback from relevant stakeholders for Management use
- Maintain the required company image and brand through effective communication
- Develop an understanding and awareness of our brand through the media in particular and other stakeholders in Ghana
- Ensure the company gets good mentioning in the media through writing and sending out press releases and articles in favour of Dangote Cement in Ghana.
- Work with the management to ensure the communications needs of Dangote Cement Ghana are met
- Manage internal communications by creating more awareness on the activities of the brand to all staff in Ghana.
- Develop newsletter / daily/weekly highlights for the staff Dangote Group newsletter
- Manage the communication activities by ensuring that the brand and events guidelines are respected.
- Manage any crisis in terms of communications.
- Handle predominant social media handles.
- Plan and manage Corporate events.
- Work in collaboration with the marketing department by providing a support system for their media related activities.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- A qualified practicing lawyer Bachelor’s degree in Mass communication, English or any related field in addition to a law degree.
- Post graduate degree in Mass Communication or a related discipline is an advantage.
- Membership of any professional bodies will be an advantage.
- Minimum of seven (7) years relevant work experience.
SKILLS amp; COMPETENCE
- Strong knowledge of cement business and related (Manufacturing) businesses.
- Deep understanding of the industry including trends and practices.
- Deep understanding of media Relations, including media categories.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of social media.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
