We are currently seeking a dedicated and driven Sales Officer to join our team at Dangote Cement. As a Sales Officer, you will be responsible for planning and executing sales activities on assigned accounts or areas to ensure customer satisfaction and manage the quality of product and service delivery.
- Develop and execute sales plans based on approved strategies, in collaboration with the Area Sales Manager.
- Process customer orders and coordinate with distribution personnel to ensure timely product delivery, adhering to company policies.
- Proactively gather and update customer data in the database to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Address and resolve customer complaints, escalating issues when necessary and ensuring proper resolution.
- Collaborate closely with the Area Manager in order to identify any limitations or obstacles to sales and promptly inform the Head of Regional Sales.
- Identify and report on potential revenue streams and new sales opportunities.
- Initiate and manage relationships with internal and external customers within the local environment.
- Prepare and compile periodic activity, financial, and performance reports.
- Ensure that sales targets are not only met, but also exceeded.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Area Sales Manager.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislation related to the cement manufacturing industry.
- Excellent knowledge of our product and service offerings.
- Basic understanding of micro and macroeconomic indices and their impact on business.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
