Rising As A Service (RAAS)
Rising has created a proven methodology for delivering quality learning at an affordable cost in low resource settings. The Rising System, acting as the foundation for Rising-As-A-Service product, called Bambai, has three key elements:
- Great content for every lesson, including our FasterReading and FasterMath remedial literacy and numeracy programs to help children catch-up on lost learning, as well as our afterschool WhatsApp chatbot Rori solution to help children reinforce those skills;
- Great coaching for every teacher, including through our SINIDI teacher coaching and professional development system;
- Rapid feedback on every school, including through at-scale student learning assessments using our school information system.
Rising’s Student Information System will be the base system that contains all the information on Students and Teachers - which will then allow them to use other Bambai tools.
Rising As A Service (RAAS) Manager
Rising has the opportunity to support our implementing partner, School for Life (SfL), in the Education Outcomes Funding (EOF) Programme to improve learning outcomes in allocated government partnership schools in the Oti Region. In this partnership, Rising will provide our powerful teaching and learning, teacher professional development and school improvement (RAAS) tools to SfL. To manage the relationship with SfL and ensure Rising delivers exceptional customer service, we are seeking an exceptional communicator and data minded RAAS Manager. The RAAS Manager will serve as the key contact person for the SfL team.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Build great relationships with the SfL team, ensuring exceptional delivery of the RAAS package. Ensure communications are clear, professional and timely for strong customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the timely delivery of the RAAS tools to SfL.
- Effectively manage the RAAS Officer who will report directly to the RAAS Manager on the programme implementation.
- Ensure onboarding challenges are effectively addressed through the RAAS Officer’s role.
- Communicate openly about all programme challenges and be solution-focused.
- Coordinate with the Head of Partnerships, Ghana to effectively support ongoing programme implementation.
- Ensure the SfL team is well-trained to effectively utilite the RAAS tools and are supported when challenges arise.
- Support the Data team with monitoring and evaluation activities, as needed. Liaise with the SfL team to ensure programme data is collected well, following all data collection protocols.
- Share insights from analysed school data with SfL to drive school improvement.
Requirements
- Post-graduate University degree (preferred) or University degree
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in the education sector with at least one year supervisory experience
- Effective communication, relationship building and teamwork skills
- Data driven, makes decisions in a logical way, on the basis of good judgement
- Strong track record of professionalism and trustworthiness
- Sets high standards and can support others to achieve them
- Ability to take the initiative and problem-solve when challenges arise
- Willingness to learn, give and receive feedback, and try new approaches
- Passionate about improving the quality of education
- Strong organisational and record keeping skills
- Occasional travel to Oti Region required

Duration:
This will be a 4-year fixed-term, full-time post from the end of 2022 until 2026 with the possibility for an extension.
