Mill Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

• Coordinate process activities at the cement mills effectively and efficiently to ensure production of high quality clinker.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all materials required for cement mill operations are available.
• Assist in ensuring regular supply of materials, such as clinker, high grade limestone and gypsum, for grinding operations.
• Liaise with Shift Coordinators, patrollers and reclaimer operators to ensure materials required are supplied as at when due.
• Ensure cement in the silo is measured consistently and accurately for detailed record keeping.
• Ensure material transfer chute is unclogged to ensure free flow of materials.
• Provide work direction to cement mills field workers based on information from CCR operators.
• Assist with the coordination of housekeeping activities at the cement mills.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Section's Head

Requirements

EDUCATION amp; WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience.

SKILLS amp; COMPETENCE

• Working knowledge of cement production process
• Good supervisory skills
• Ability to pay attention to details
• Good relationship management skills

• Good knowledge of cement mills equipments and their function
