JOB SUMMARY
- Provide oversight and coordination of a team of engineers and technicians in the performance all plant maintenance activities.
- Provide advance technical expertise and support on complex maintenance and repair issues
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the preparation and implementation of monthly and weekly preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Assess scope of unscheduled repairs and assigns work or determines if work should be completed by other shifts.
- Supervise the execution of maintenance activities to ensure adherence to established guidelines.
- Participate in recommending equipment, tools, materials and spare parts.
- Prepare daily report of maintenance of respective department for the attention of respective Coordinators.
- Participate in and share information on technical seminars for maintenance in order to stay up to date on current trends, changes, and technological advancements.
- Monitor maintenance activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
EDUCATION amp; WORK EXPERIENCE
- A National Diploma or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum Five (5) years work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering and maintenance and be familiar with codes, standards and acceptable industry practices.
- Excellent communication skills
- Very good organisational skills.
- Very good analytical and problem solving skills
SKILLS amp; COMPETENCE
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
